PA: PML-N demands to restore membership of suspended lawmakers

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday continued sit-in outside Punjab Assembly to register protest over suspension of its six lawmakers.

As per details acquired, PML-N boycotted proceedings of the Punjab Assembly and chanted slogans against speaker Pervez Elahi. PML-N also made it overtly clear that sit-in would continue till restoration of membership of six suspended lawmakers.

Adressing on the occasion, opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz stated that they don’t accept unilateral actions of Punjab Assembly speaker Pervez Elahi against PML-N’s lawmakers.

Terming suspension a result of fake decision, Hamza apprised attendants that not even a single such decision has been taken in the past.

Shehbaz also lambasted Pervez Elahi over becoming voluntarlity spokesperson for National Accountability Bureau (NAB). He said, “In the past, Elahi had expected Pervez Musharraf as his leader. At present, he has switched loyalties and made Imran Khan his leader.”
