Leaving junk food has same effects on body as quitting drugs

Balanced diet is a key to spending healthy life. Junk food is already making nation obese.

(Web Desk) – You might have heard that eating junk foods cause fat which ultimately leads towards increment in weight and other sorts of diseases, but to your surprise, leaving junk food also cause damage to body. Forsaking burgers, pastries, pizzas and other scrumptious yet junk or fast foods like French fries is tantamount to abandoning drugs; effects are similar.

This awestruck revelation came at a time when a research was conducted in University of Michigan in which bodily reactions of junk food-lovers were observed as they left taking their much-loved foods. There were evident effects in around 231 participants. They felt headache, reduction in the sleeping hours, more hunger, mood swinging, etc. These issues are faced when one bids farewell to drug one is addicted to.

Though these problems can be faced immediately after leaving this food, but it does not mean that they remain there for a longer period of time. The initial days of withdrawing are relatively painful and require outstanding persistency, but there comes a time when these issues fade away. Resisting your temptation for this food is also no less than any sort of drug including smoking.

Balanced diet is key

It is always better to avoid getting addicted to junk food which leads towards dietary imbalances that can cause harm to not only physical abilities of a person but also to mental abilities. People in developing countries like Pakistan already have so many problems with their food; cutting out junk food from germ-infested stalls will give them a relief. Food poisoning in on the rise and that is because of eating it too much. Indeed a major chunk of our nation, male and female, elder and young one, is addicted to unbalanced diet. Balance your diet and live a happy and energetic life.
