ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar has on Sunday expressed exasperation and reprimanded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) member of National Assembly (NA) Karamat Khokhar and member of provincial assembly (MPA) Nadeem Abbas over sheltering criminals, influence proceedings of the police and issuing false statements in the court.

As per details garnered, CJP resumed hearing of petition against land grabber Mansha Bam here in Lahore Registry today.

As the hearing began, Superintendent Police (SP) Mohammad Maaz informed the top court that that MNA Karamat Khokhar had telephoned Deputy Inspector General (DIG) to barred him from arresting Mansha Bam, the head of the notorious land grabber group. Upon hearing this, CJP immediately summoned MNA Karamat.

“Since when you people have started behaving like thugs? Is this the change you promised? How can you make Naya Pakistan by following footprints of land grabbers?” inquired CJP.

CJP warned MNA Karamat Khokar that he would not go back as MNA if he is found guilty. CJP remarked, “I will not let any thug live in the country”.

MPA Nadeem Abbas alleged that he had been framed by a police officer in the case, adding he would resign if found guilty. To this CJP remarked he should go ahead and resign first.

Hearing this, MPA Nadeem Abbas started crying and sought unconditional apology from the top court.
Subsequently, Khokhar was issued a notice for lying in court. CJP ordered arrest of notorious land grabber Mansha Bam at earliest whereas both MNA and MPA and they were summoned to Islamabad.

According to the overseas petitioner, Mahmood Ashraf, a land grabber Mansha Bam had allegedly grabbed his property while police were reluctant to take action against the grabbers.
