KARACHI (Dunya News) – Opposition lawmakes in the Sindh Assembly Wednesday staged a symbolic walkout to protest the rising incidents of child abduction in Karachi.

Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani did not allow Muttahida lawmakers to discuss the issue. This led to the opposition members staging a symbolic walkout.

The Muttahida lawmakers said government allotted a significant amount for law and order in the budget (FY2018-19), still citizens are not safe. PTI lawmakers said they won’t sit idle while street crimes continue to rise.

Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Karachi had taken strong exception to the cases of child kidnappings. He also sought a coordinated action against the criminals and called for urgent recovery of the children and provide relief to the parents.
