Kobler selfie worked: Social media tool to wake slumbering authorities?
Keeping the cities clean is responsibility of the government and citizens; both are failed in it.
(Web Desk) – Islamabad, the capital and world’s planned city, is not in exception when it comes to dirt and garbage. People’s carelessness is another factor besides government’s recklessness which is making of every corner of the country filled with dirt. Karachi is quite notorious when it comes to heaps of garbage on roads and even out of homes. Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) is following suit.
German Ambassador Martin Kobler in his tweet exposed the performance of local administration. He showed one of the dumpsites which of course can be a breeding place of various diseases.

People appreciated him and demanded the authorities to action on their own instead of being exposed on media by someone. They also throw some responsibility over people, which is quite true.

His recent tweet indeed made the concerned authorities take action against the relevant officials. The trash was removed from the street of sector F7. Authorities fired two officials including sanitation officer Zahood Muhammad and supervisor Qaisar Qayyum.
Indeed every matter of social importance is solved after it gains hype on media. Social media has indeed become a sigh of relief for many now. Authorities do not seem willing to perform their duties when it comes giving relief to the masses unless the issue takes hype.
Action after the issue gains hype
Indeed every matter of social importance is solved after it gains hype on media. Social media has indeed become a sigh of relief for many now. Authorities do not seem willing to perform their duties when it comes giving relief to the masses unless the issue takes hype. This is also the case of government institutions in Islamabad.
The capital city does not seem to be dissimilar from any other city; trash can be found in abundance, police station still a source of constant fear than a source of relief, land grabbers are still active, protocols are still found on roads, they crush anyone and the killer can go scot-free. Amid all that, people still attach high hopes with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
