Dr Yasmeen takes notice of torture incident by LGH guards
Strict action would be taken against the guards if proven guilty in the investigation
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmeen Rashid on Friday took notice of an incident of torture by the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) security guards to patients and their family members.
Dr Yasmeen ordered the concerned authorities to submit report into the incident of thrashing patients and their family members by the Lahore General Hospital security guards.
The Health Department spokesman said that strict action would be taken against the guards if proven guilty in the investigation.
It is pertinent here to mention that the hospital’s security guards had mercilessly beaten patients and their relatives including women but the hospital administration remained silent.
