FO rejects US statement on PM Imran-Pompeo telephonic conversation
Dr Faisal says there was no mention at all in conversation about terrorists operating in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office (FO) on Thursday rejected the United States State Department’s readout about the call between Prime Minister Imran Khan and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo “factually incorrect”.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal in his tweet said, “Pakistan takes exception to the factually incorrect statement issued by US State Dept on today’s phone call between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Dr Mohammad Faisal said that there was no mention at all in the conversation about terrorists operating in Pakistan. This should be immediately corrected.

Earlier, a statement issued by the State Department said: “Secretary Pompeo raised the importance of Pakistan taking decisive action against all terrorists operating in Pakistan and its vital role in promoting the Afghan peace process.”
