PM Abbai apologized to PTI MNA over Senate incident: Marryium

The prime minister had regretted the unfortunate incident, Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

ISLAMABAD (APP): Minister of Stated for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb Monday said that son of prime minister Shahid Khakan Abbasi was not part of unfortunate incident in the Senate.

In a statement, the minister said that like others, Prime Minister’s son Abdullah along with his family and friends was present in Senate gallery to witness the election process for Chairman and deputy chairman.

She said that the prime minister had regretted the unfortunate incident. Irrespective of the fact who was at fault, the prime minister showing magnanimity apologized to the Member of National Assembly over the incident.

Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s son Abdullah Abbasi allegedly entered a brawl with Member of National Assembly (MNA) belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Hamidul Haq on Monday evening in Senate.

While talking to the media, Haq asserted that an outsider, who was occupying a seat behind him grabbed him by the neck for raising slogans in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after Sanjrani’s victory. He demanded off Senate administration to identify the man and impose a hefty fine for the act.

The incident was reported after the Senate elected Sadiq Sanjrani a fresh chairman of the House.
