Summary PM Abbasi said that Pakistan wants peace and prosperity in Afghanistan and South Asia
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew on Monday met Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to extend good wishes from British Prime Minister Theresa May, reported Dunya News.
Drew said that Britain regards Pakistan as an important ally and in the past Theresa May had visited the country three times in different capacities.
During the meeting, Abbasi said that Pakistan has successfully fought the war on terror and has given numerous sacrifices in the process.
He also said that Afghan war had an adverse affect on Pakistan so “Pakistan would take greatest benefit out of peace in Afghanistan”.
During the meeting it was emphasized that trade relations between both countries should be strengthened.
