Army major among four martyred during Timergara operation
Army jawans sacrificed their lives while foiling a devastating terrorist activity.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - An army officer and three soldiers sacrificed their lives while foiling a devastating terrorist activity, in upper Dir on Wednesday morning.
The martyrs were identified as Major Ali Salman, Havaldar Ghulam Nazir, Havaldar Akhta and Sepoy Abdul Karim.
According to ISPR, Major Ali Salman of intelligence agency along with his team was conducting an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) against a terrorist hideout in Sherotkai, Timergara, Upper Dir when terrorists opened fire on them.
One of two terrorists present in hideout exploded himself while the other one got killed in exchange of fire.
Moreover, one terrorist was detained during the operation.
