AML chief lambasts govt for being unable to give relief to people
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid said on Thursday that whoever intended to hold negotiations with the government would end up ridiculing himself.
Speaking to media outside the Islamabad sessions court, the former minister said the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan was worsening just as is the case in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The AML chief said members of American Congress who voted in favour of human rights protection in Pakistan were not elected on Form 47, adding that nation should also lend ear to the statement given by the Chinese minister during his recent visit to Pakistan.
"The government should tell if anyone has doled out $5 to lend support to Pakistan. I received Rs168,000 electricity bill while 18 shopkeepers in my constituency have left their shops due to inflated bills. This government is interested only in getting clean chit in cases against it," he bemoaned.
The former minister predicted that Nawaz Sharif would also change his narrative next month, insisting that who pillaged the country couldn't stop it from hitting rock bottom.
"Parleys should be held with actual power wielders in order to reach an agreement, instead of those who looted the national kitty," he insisted.
