Indian forces earlier claimed to destroy Pakistani post across LoC in Naushera sector

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Army has rejected Indian claims of destroying Pakistani post along the Line of Control (LoC) in Naushera sector. Also, Pakistani forces didn’t commit any ceasefire violation across the working boundary or targeted civilians as claimed by India, according to Inter-Services Public Relations on Tuesday.

In a latest press release, DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said, “Indian claims of destroying Pakistani post along LoC in Naushera Sec and firing by Pakistan Army on civilians across LoC are false.”

It all started when Indian Army spokesperson Major General Ashok Narula made a startling claim of opening fire and damaging Pakistani post in an act of ‘counter-insurgency operations’. The assertion, later declared false by Pakistan, said Indian forces stopped ‘militants’ from crossing the border and entering India.

"Pakistan Army has been providing full support to infiltrators by engaging Indian army posts," he added. According to Indian reports, a video was also released showing heavy artillery targeting non-permanent shelters on the hilly areas.

In the same way, the claim of ceasefire violations by Pakistani forces across the border was declared false by ISPR.
