Summary Khurshid Shah expressed these views in a media talk in Sukkur.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah Saturday responded to Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s announcements that he made in his public meeting at Thatta and said PM took four years to address the issues of people of Sindh.
Khurshid Shah expressed these views in a media talk on his visit to Sukkur’s Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College (GMMMC).
Shah taunted on PM that if he has finally announced some projects for the people of Sindh then he should now at least ensure their completion. He said that facilities in Sindh are almost zero as compared to Punjab.
Khurshid Shah added that he did not see any motorway being made in Sindh, and if PM is converting expressway to motorway then it is not any favor either. He said that making one motorway in Sindh is not an achievement when a total of eight motorways are being made countrywide. The only good thing is that money is being spent on people, Shah added.
When he was asked a question about the bill presented in US Congress in which it has been asked to declare Pakistan as supporter of terrorists, Khurshid Shah in his reply held America responsible for all the terrorism that is going on in Pakistan.
Shah said America entered Pakistan through Afghanistan in 1980 due to mistakes committed by Zia-ul-Haq, and Pakistan is suffering from terrorism till date.
He also commented on the statement given by interior minister and said it is a proof of government’s failure that it cannot give protection to 51 percent of its people, and government should admit this fact.
Khurshid Shah said that we, the politicians, should set examples for the people through our conduct. We should not use abusive language as people vote for us thinking that we are worthy for it, Shah added.
