ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Government Thursday expressed its agreement for a forensic investigation into the Panama Leaks case. Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif stated that the commission’s probe will be transparent and no will be able to criticize it. He added that the members of the commission will be announced today (Friday).

Addressing the National Assembly the Federal Minister for Defence stated that either if it is the judicial commission or forensic investigation, who so ever is summoned will present himself.

Defending his leadership, Asif lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), leveling his criticism at PTI chairman Imran Khan’s investment in off shore companies.

Earlier during the NA session, the PTI chairman slammed the government and Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif over the Panama Leaks issue, demanding that a commission headed by the Chief Justice should be formed. Khan stated that PM’s children have been accused in Panama Leaks and government is answerable to public in this matter.

He added that instead of providing an explanation over the matter, the ministers have started blaming the opposition. He further stated that Shaukat Khanum Hospital’s accounts were open for any to check.

He warned the government that this time PTI will protest and head towards Raiwind instead of D-Chowk.
