Summary Resolution demanded that the agreement of CPEC should be made public
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly passed a resolution on Friday against changing the route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The resolution demanded that the agreement of CPEC should be made public, reported Dunya News.
According to details, as the session of KP assembly started, provincial minister Aneesa Zaib forwarded the motion against CPEC route changing. The House passed the resolution with consensus. Resolution stated that all the disputed issues about this project should be solved and the route should be one announced by Prime Minister (PM) on 28th May. It also demanded that on the western route, gas pipeline, railway, LNG and fiber should also be added along with the motorway.

Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said on Wednesday that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has given a new dimension to bilateral relations. Talking to a delegation of Chinese mass media in Islamabad he said that Pak-China relationships are based on true confidence and common interests, reported Dunya News.
Pervaiz Rashid said the economic corridor will equally benefit both China and Pakistan. He said China is investing 46 billion dollars in various projects, including energy. Both the countries have initiated energy and infrastructure projects which will convert the close friendship of the countries into strategic partnership.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal has on Thursday said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) enjoys the support from all the parties in Pakistan. He told that China is providing cheap loans to Pakistan on 1.3% interest rate under CPEC agreement, reported Dunya News.
Addressing a seminar about CPEC in Islamabad, Ahsan Iqbal said that out of the 46bn USD projects attributed to the CPEC, projects worth USD 40bn are related to energy sector. He added that the corridor enjoys support from all the parties.
Federal Minister said that no changes have been made to the route of the CPEC and all the provinces will benefit from it. He said that this corridor will introduce Pak-China friendship to new horizons and will help enhance Pakistan’s position in the region.
Earlier, it had been feared that CPEC route might be altered in order to avoid areas that are prone to earthquake. However, the fears were rejected by the government.

Federal Broadcast and Information Minister Pervez Rashid said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) path will not be altered due to fears of natural calamities. He warned that delays may occur if heavy rain and snows commence from November 1 which will hamper the process.
