ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday has summoned replies from Interior Ministry, Foreign and Prime Minister (PM) secretariats within ten days on plea regarding meeting with Dr Aafia Siddique.
The petition has been filed by Aafia’s sister Fauzia Siddique. She has maintained in the plea that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif should raise issue of her sister’s release during his visit to the United States (US).
The plea states that Siddique should be granted access to Pakistani counselor. Fauzia has stated that Nawaz Sharif had written a letter during his tenure as opposition leader to the then PM Yousaf Raza Gilani regarding her sister.
The IHC has issued notices to the ministries concerned and summoned replies.
