LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday has forwarded case against electoral symbol allotted to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for local body (LB) elections to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Justice Ijazul Hassan held hearing of the case regarding allotment of ‘cricketer’ symbol instead of a ‘bat’.

PTI’s Umer Sarfraz Cheema maintained that the party had requested the ECP to allot ‘bat’ however, they were allotted ‘cricketer’. He said that election campaign is being affected due to the act. Cheema requested the court to order the commission to allot the desired symbol.

The LHC forwarded the case to the ECP and ordered that decision must be taken within ten days.
