LAHORE (Dunya News) - President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif have expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives of six children as a result of fire incident in a house in Lahore on Sunday, Dunya News reported.

They extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that Allah almighty may bless the departed souls with eternal bless and give courage to the family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.

PM Nawaz have also sought report into the incident and directed that action should be taken against those responsible for malfunctioning and delayed arrival of water bowsers at the venue.

He asked the concerned authorities to improve firefighting equipment and mechanism so that such unfortunate incidents could be avoided in future.

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressing grief and sorrow over the fire incident has directed for thorough inquiry.

He said responsibility should be fixed as to why the concerned institutions failed to take timely action to control the fire.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of six children, who lost their lives in the fire incident has been offered.
