Summary More than 3000 security personnel will be appointed for NA-246 election
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi police has finalized the security plan for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) election rally going to be held on 19th of April at Shahrah-e-Pakistan. Inspector General (IG) Sindh said that more than 3000 security personnel will be appointed for the security of local body election in NA-246 Karachi.
PTI, Jamaat Islami (JI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidates are competing in NA-246 on 23rd of April. Political activities are on peak in the city and many rallies and meetings are being held by the parties.
IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali said that they have made a fool proof security plan for PTI rally. He said that 6 teams of Bomb Disposal Squad will also be present at the venue of the rally. Special Security Unit and Reserve Force have also been called for the security of PTI leaders.
According to police officials, they are holding meetings on daily basis to discuss security plans for rallies and election.
