The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed an application to the Accountability Court for withdrawing two references against Interior Minister Rehman Malik.The first reference against him was his alleged involvement for taking illegal commission during purchase of cars for FIA while he was serving director FIA. The second reference requested to be dropped was relating to his alleged involvement in theft during a raid on a house in Lahore.Both the petitions were being reviewed in the Accountability Court No 4 by Judge Chaudhry Abdul Haq. The request for withdrawing the reference has been filed by Additional Prosecutor General Jamil Awan. The court in response to the application by NAB has called both parties on June 28.
