KARACHi (Web Desk) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has welcomed Sindh High Court’s decision against Local Government Act-2013 and vowed to press the provincial government to hold local government elections on time.
Talking to media in Karacih today (Monday), MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari urged the Sindh government to ensure holding of Local Bodies election as per schedule.
He said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) tried to turn black into white on basis of majority, MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari said.
Sindh government should respect Sindh High Court’s decision, he added.
On the other hand, Functional League’s Central Secretary General Imtiaz Sheikh lauded the SHC verdict.
He said that Pakistan Peoples Party is not interested in the local bodies elections. These elections should be held under army and judiciary’s supervision.
