Severe cold, dry weather expected in most parts
Mercury dropped to zero or below zero in most parts of the country.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Mainly very cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours, Metrological Department reported.
Mostly cloudy condition with light rain (snowfall over the hills) is expected at scattered places of Lahore, Gujranwala, Hazara divisions and Kashmir while at isolated places of Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Sargodha divisions, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan during tonight and Tuesday.
According to Met Office, a westerly wave is prevailing over Afghanistan and adjoining areas of Pakistan, which is likely to move eastwards and will affect upper parts of the county during Monday night and Tuesday.
Coldest places recorded during last 24 hours include Kalat -15°C, Quetta -13, Skardu -12°C, Parachinar -10, Astore, Gupis -07°C, Malamjabba, Drosh, Murree -06°C and Gilgit -05°C.
Whereas the temperatue in Lahore was recorded at 3°C, Islamabad 0°C, Quetta -9 °C and Karachi 12°C.
