Summary Mehr Wajid of PTI had filed a petition for recounting of votes in PP-150.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Taking notice of a complaint the Election Commission of Pakistan has ordered recounting in PP-150 Lahore.
According to a spokesman of the Election Commission, the notice has been taken according to People’s Representation Act and the ECP has decided to hear the petition.
The Election Commission has summoned all candidates of PP-150 on August 28.
According to ECP, it seems that the returning officer while declaring results of the by-election in the constituency fabricated the facts.
PTI’s candidate Mehr Waji Azeem alleged PML-N candidate for rigging the on August 22 by-polls.
Waji pleaded the ECP for recounting as there was a difference of only 350 votes between the winning candidate and the runner up.
