Summary Punjnad Jagir Sadiq Bund breach swamps scores of villages.

LAHORE/SUKKUR (Dunya News) - High floods recorded at Punjnad in river Chenab and at Sadhnai in Ravi, while at Punjnad Jagir Sadiq Bund breaching swamped and swept away scores of villages and standing crops on several acres of land.

Met department said that high flood also expected to hit Guddu.

According to irrigation department, the Jagir Sadiq Bund breached by huge tide in river Chenab at Head Punjnad in Uch Sharif inundating scores of villages and swept away standing crops on several acres of land.

Flood Forecasting Cell said that water level in Tarbela Dam has swelled up to 1550 feet and water inflow over here was recorded at 2,14,400 cusecs, while discharge at 2,13,800 cusecs. Mangla Dam water level recorded at 1233.30 feet, while water inflow at 39,321 cusecs and discharge at 10,000 cusecs.

River Indus is in medium flood at Guddu and Sukkur Barrages while low at Kotri Barrage.

According to Irrigation Department‚ upstream flow of water is 386063 cusecs in Guddu Barrage while downstream flow is of 360186 cusecs.

Similarly‚ at Sukkur Barrage‚ the upstream inflow of 365650 cusecs water while downstream outflow of 310680 cusecs water was recorded.
