LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said it is regrettable that despite being nuclear power, Pakistan is facing severe energy crisis.
Speaking extensively on the energy issue during his speech on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer‚ Nawaz Sharif said it is time to rethink why Pakistan has gone into darkness.
He urged the people to show patience for improvement of power supply situation.
Nawaz also expressed confidence that due to short term measures of the new government‚ a visible change will come soon.
He said that all available resources will be utilized to generate electricity to meet the national requirements.
Nawaz Sharif also said that strict action will be taken against those involved in electricity theft besides taking steps to reduce line losses which will help decrease load shedding.
Although the country is facing grave challanges‚ but the new government will steer the country out of these crises, he added.
He said that new schemes will be launched to increase employment opportunities for skilled youth and provide shelter to the homeless.
