Statements can not make or break governments: Gilani

Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Thursday that statements of the former intelligence officials can not make or break governments; and nobody should be worried of these statements. They are playing their role, but political leadership must play a sensible and sagacious role. PM Gilani expressed these views in his opening statement while chairing the special meeting of Sindh Cabinet at Chief Minister House in Karachi. The PM said that workers had given a lot of sacrifices for democracy; so all the leadership is responsible to work for strengthening it. Answering a question about Nawaz Sharifs statement that governments failure is becoming the failure of democracy, the PM replied that he did not mind statements of Nawaz Sharif. Answering a question regarding sugar prices, the PM said that same policy would be applied in all the provinces and it was the responsibility of Ministry of Industries to handle the sugar crisis. He said that he would soon announce the decision of the committee regarding Balochistan problems.
