(Web Desk) - In an emotional monologue on Last Week Tonight, comedian and host John Oliver urged viewers to support Kamala Harris.

He emphasized, in case Harris loses the race, the severe consequences of a second Trump presidency.

Holding back tears, he began by asking, “What am I going to be feeling on Wednesday?” and reflected on the importance of advocating for Harris.

He cited Harris’ proposals on Medicare expansion, reproductive rights, and income support, stating, “But to be clear, I am voting for Kamala Harris. And I think you should, too.”

He acknowledged the complicity of of the current administration, particularly regarding its stance on Gaza, and recognized that some voters may feel alienated.

He referenced Georgia State Rep. Ruwa Romman, a Palestinian supporter of Harris, who expressed her reasons for voting Democrat despite misgivings. Oliver noted Romman’s early voting and said, “It’s honestly worth watching the whole thing,” sharing her TikTok on the matter.

The famous host cautioned that, “The damage of a second Trump term would last far beyond the next four years.”
