Mairaj has had enough of being compared with Nawazuddin Siddiqui
(Web Desk) - It is normal for actors to come across their doppelgangers. Or, to make it more casual, they, sometimes, are compared to the works of another actor.
Maybe, the fans see a similarity in how they deliver their dialogues or how they walk.
Now, the latest - except it is not because it has also popped up on social media many times - example is the comparison between Saleem Mairaj and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
In a recent interview, the actor was reminded, almost umpteen times, of the similarities between himself and his Indian counterpart when a viewer brought up the subject yet and asked, "Do you find it a compliment or an unnecessary comparison?"
After an almost an endless wait, he finally spoke, "I think I have been asked this more than 200 times."
And I have to tell you, I just don't get it. I don't see the resemblance, and I don't understand the comparison."
He also gave the example when a few moon mistook him for the Indian star.
"Once, I was at the passport office, and these two women were in the line near me," he started, and continued, "They had just watched Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Anyway, one of them looks at me and says to the other, 'Look! There's that man from the film we saw last night!'"
In an apparently not-so-happy mood, Saleem added, "They did not recognise Saleem Mairaj standing right in front of them, but they definitely thought they saw Nawazuddin Siddiqui!"
