NEW YORK (Web Desk) - American singer and actress Selena Gomez has achieved a major milestone in the world of social media. After recently retiring from social media, Selena Gomez has become the first woman in the world to reach 400 million followers on Instagram.
She had earlier taken the title of the most followed woman on Instagram from American social media star, businesswoman, and model Kylie Jenner. Selena Gomez's follower count on Instagram currently stands at 401 million, while Kylie Jenner follows close behind with 382 million followers.
Last month, Selena Gomez announced that she would be taking a break from social media as it felt too childish, but she later returned and shared some of her pictures on the platform.
It is worth noting that Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram with over 563 million followers.
