Hrithik Roshan records statement against Kangana Ranaut
Roshan was asked to visit the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) at the commissioner's office.
Islamabad (Online): Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines lately for her questionable rants on Twitter. Be it about the ongoing farmer’s protests in India or her rift with fellow actors Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhaskar, the actor seems to land herself in hot water every now and then.
However, in all the hoo-ha, many seem to have forgotten the case she was embroiled in with alleged ex Hrithik Roshan. According to Indian media, the Koi Mil Gaya star visited the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch office on Saturday to record a statement in connection to his 2016 complaint about fake emails in his name to the Queen actor.
Roshan was asked to visit the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) at the commissioner’s office, an official said.
On Friday, reacting to a news article about the same, Ranaut took to social media and wrote, "Duniya kahan se kahan pahunch gayi magar mera silly ex abhi bhi waheen hai usi modh pe jahan yeh waqt dobara laut ke nahi jane wala ... (The world has changed so much but my silly ex is still caught up in the moment to which the time will never return)."
Five years ago, the War star filed a complaint alleging that someone was impersonating him and was emailing Ranaut from a bogus email ID in his name. The complaint was followed by a spat between the two.
Roshan then accused his Krrish co-star of harassing him by sending him hundreds of emails. Following an initial probe, police recorded Ranaut’s statement after concluding that the emails were sent from her id. However, the Simran actor denied sending emails to Roshan.
In 2019, the two actors locked horns over the pair’s newly-released blockbusters, which were going to be released on the same date.
Roshan’s Super 30 was to release on July 26 but back then it was announced Ranaut’s Mental Hai Kya would also hit theatres on the same date, reportedly due to ‘business reasons.’ This date was spontaneously decided instead of its scheduled June 21 release, sending social media into frenzy over the obvious clash. Roshan had then tweeted that his film’s release would be rescheduled.
