Senior Pakistani film star Ejaz Durrani passes away at 88
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan film industry’s senior actor Ejaz Durrani passed away on Monday after fighting illness for a long time. The 88-year-old’s funeral prayers will be offered today.
The senior actor was born in 1935 in Jalalpur Jattan area of Gujarat and was most famous for playing the role of Ranjha in the film ‘Heer Ranjha’. He had acted in more than 150 films with the last one being ‘Maulabakhsh’. He had played an instrumental role in the film industry as an actor, producer, director and distributor.
Ejaz Durrani married well-known singer Noor Jahan, with whom he had three daughters. He was also the Vice President of Pakistan Film Producers Association.
