Veteran actor Qazi Wajid passes away in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Veteran TV and film star Qazi Wajid has died on Sunday
He suffered a heart attack on Saturday evening after which he was transferred to hospital. This morning, he succumbed to the attack. Reportedly, he went to a recording two days ago for the last time.
Qazi wajid was born on May 26 1930 in Lahore. After migrating to Pakistan with his family, he started his career from radio Pakistan. When PTV was launched in 1964, Qazi Wajid joined TV.
The versatile actor received several awards throughout his career, including the Pride of Performance Award.
Among his famous TV serials include Tanhaiyan, Dhoop Kinaray, Khuda Ki Basti and Taleem-e-Balighan.
Showbiz community expressed shock and grief at the news. Condolences poured in from every corner of the country, paying tribute to the TV legend.
Seasoned actors Sohail Ahmad and Javed Sheikh termed it as an irreparable loss for the showbiz.
