Deepika Padukone charges whopping Rs12 crore for 'Padmavati'

MUMBAI (Daily Dunya) - Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone has hiked her fee for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’.

According to Indian media reports, the actress has charged a hefty amount of Rs12 crore for her role as ‘Rani Padmini’ as she has devoted an entire year to the epic drama.

The amount is more than that is being paid to the lead actors Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

Deepika who was also the leading lady of Bhansali’s ‘Raam Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ garnered musch praise for the films which made a business of Rs 100 crore.

Padmavati stars Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor in the role of Raja Ratan Singh. The film is slated for November 2017 release.
