The Modern Master Award, the highest honor presented by the SBIFF, was created to honor an individual who has enriched the culture through accomplishments in the motion picture industry. Cameron talked about what his next project might be. I don't know what the next film will be. I have not decided yet, said Cameron. But whatever it is, it'll be a challenge and I'll do it because I love it, because it's the best job in the world and I have this philosophy that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life, he added. America's silver screen sweetheart of the moment, Sandra Bullock, received the American Riviera Award, for her contribution to American cinema. Bullock has won both a Golden Globe and a SAG award this year for her performance in The Blind Side. While accepting the award, Bullock talked about the attention she is getting this awards season. This has been a very overwhelming several months for me, said Bullock. I am not comfortable with this kind of attention, she added. Academy Award winner and fellow American Riviera Award honoree from 2007, Forest Whitaker presented the prestigious award to Bullock.
