Police party ambushed by the suspects’ accomplices
SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) – Five alleged bandits were killed in the firing of their own accomplices during a shootout with the law-enforcers, police claimed here on Wednesday night.
According to the police, the suspected robbers were in police custody and being brought to a hideout, near Sargodha By-pass, where their other accomplices were hiding, when the police reached the spot, the hiding robbers started firing and killed their five accomplices.
Police said the robbers were involved in dozens of robberies and lootings, adding they subjected women to rape during robberies.
Police claimed that a month ago they looted valuables from a house and raped two sisters.
Looted valuables, weapons and cash were recovered from them.
Police are investigating and making efforts to arrest the fleeing dacoits.
