Babar is among few batters in the world who scored century in all three formats
(Web Desk) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a clipping online featuring skipper Babar Azam's birthday celebrations.
Babar cut the cake of his 29th birthday in India.
The fellow players congratulated the skipper, who is presently the top-ranked one-day international batsman in the world, and the staff clapped for him.
He celebrated his birthday when the team landed at an hotel in Bengaluru where a match is scheduled against Australia on Oct 20 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Like fellow teammates and the support staff, daughter of Hasan Ali also celebrated the birthday of the skipper by offering him a bouquet. The video also went viral on social media, showing that Babar Azam thanked the pretty girl by giving her a hug.

Although Pakistani cricket lovers are severely criticising the players as India beat Pakistan effortlessly in a match on Oct 14, it’s a fact that Babar Azam made his side the number-one team in One Day International (ODI) cricket for the first time in history.
In 2015, the skipper had made his debut in Lahore against Zimbabwe and he participated in 264 matches over all in three formats with a total of 12,731 runs and his average is 49.15.
You will surely be surprised to know that Babar Azam is also one of the very few batters in the world, who scored century in all three formats. In the test format, his highest total is 196 ensuring Pakistan to avoid defeat while the Green Shirts were facing Australia in March 2022.
Similarly, he also played a marvellous innings in the ODI format and his highest score is 158 runs against England in July 2021.
In T20I format, the skipper scored 122 against South Africa in April 2021.
