KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, accompanied by provincial ministers, visited Faizan-e-Madina in Karachi on Wednesday to attend an Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) gathering.
Religious Affairs Minister Riyaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, Labour Minister Saeed Ghani and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab accompanied the chief minister. Murad Ali Shah visited Faizan-e-Madina at the invitation of Muhammad Yaqoob Attari, head of the Dawat-e-Islami Sindh coordination committee.
During the visit, the chief minister met representatives of Dawat-e-Islami and discussed arrangements for the Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Murad Ali Shah said celebrating the arrival of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a great blessing and honour for Muslims.
He said Milad gatherings provided an opportunity to reflect on the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and encourage people to follow his Seerat.
The chief minister stressed that Muslims could regain their lost glory by following the exemplary life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He further said the key to success in both this world and the hereafter lay in unity among Muslims, urging people to promote harmony and brotherhood.
