Summary Special prayers will be offered for unity of Muslim Ummah
LAHORE (Dunya News)- Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) is being celebrated with great religious fervour and solemnity in the country on Wednesday (today).
The day will dawn with a thirty-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital and a twenty-one-gun salute at all provincial capitals. It will be a public holiday on Wednesday (today).
Special prayers will be offered after the Fajr prayer for unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country.
The main event of the day will be the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference to be held in the Federal Capital.
The theme of the conference is Protection, Development and Character Building of the Younger Generation in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).
Milad processions will be taken out in all cities in which Ulema and Khateeb will highlight all aspects of life of Holy Prophet (PBUH), stressing adherence to his teachings and Sunnah.
Streets, roads, buildings, mosques and houses have been decorated with green buntings, flags, colorful lights to mark this auspicious occasion.
Seminars, conferences and Mehfil-e-Naat gatherings focusing on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will be organised across the country. Processions will also be held in various cities.
Mosques across Pakistan will host gatherings featuring Milad, Durood and Salam. Religious scholars will shed light on the blessed life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
To celebrate the arrival of the Prophet (PBUH), streets, neighbourhoods, markets and mosques across the country have been decorated with green flags and colourful lights. Government and private buildings have also been illuminated, while decorative arches and gateways have been erected along several markets and major roads.
Devotees are expressing their love and reverence for the Prophet (PBUH) by creating beautiful models of the Kaaba and Masjid al-Nabawi.
