LAHORE (Dunya News) - Nine policemen were arrested after four accused escaped from Cantt Courts where they were brought for hearing in their cases here on Monday.
According to a spokesman for DIG Operations, Cantt Police arrested the policemen after registering a case against them. He said the arrested cops included Supervision Officer Inspector Amir, Moharrar Falaksher, a head-constable and six constables.
One of the escapees has been rearrested, whereas efforts are on to apprehend the remaining accused, the spokesman said. An investigation was launched against the detained cops to bring the responsible to justice for negligence and breach of security.
