PPP and PML-N had played a positive role against Indian aggression

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday said that Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are divided between soft and hard liners.

Speaking exclusively at Dunya News  programme  Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath , he said that despite differences, all political parties work together in democracy.

Giving the example of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Qureshi said that the PTI chairman had attended All Parties Conference (APC) on Army Public School (APS) incident.

Qureshi went on to say that the PPP and PML-N had played a positive role against Indian aggression, however, both parties are divided between hardliners and softliners.

I wrote letter after fixing things with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif during telephonic conversation, adding that their parties might not have reached consensus.

The foreign minister said: “There is an urgent need to have consensus on the National Action Plan’s (NAP) political part.”

Regarding Bilawal Bhutto Zardari statements about proscribed organisations, Qureshi said he was of the stance that the PPP chairman’s opinion should be discussed together. “I asked to take the parliamentary leaders in confidence,” he added.
