In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces valiantly repulsed all attempts to overrun posts and killed five terrorists in retaliatory fire.

During an exchange of fire, three soldiers including Havildar Iftikhar, resident of Sargodha, Sepoy Aftab from Chitral and Sepoy Usman resident of Gujrat, embraced martyrdom.

Earlier, banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Mullah Fazlullah had been killed in a US drone attack in Kunar province of Afghanistan.

Spokesman for Afghan Ministry of Defence Mohammad Radmanish and a US official have confirmed that Mullah Fazlullah was killed in the strike carried out on Wednesday. They said four commanders of the terrorist group were also killed in the attack.

According to the reports the banned TTP chief was leaving a militant center, known as Pachai Markaz, just before midnight after attending a dinner party along with several key commanders. Sources say that as soon as Fazlullah boarded the vehicle, missiles fired from an unmanned American aircraft hit them.

Hour s later fellow militants quietly buried them in a nearby graveyard.
