PTI's call for protest unjustified after letter written to SC: Punjab CM
PTI's call for protest similar to a pot calling the kettle black, says Shehbaz Sharif.
LAHORE (Dunya News) –Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif Sunday responded to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan s address at Islamabad s F-9 Park. Punjab CM stated that PTI s call for protest, even after the government had written a letter to the Supreme Court (SC) as per the party s demand, was unjustified and was similar to a pot calling the kettle black.
CM Shehbaz added that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif had presented himself for accountability.
Meanwhile other senior leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also expressed their thoughts on PTI chairman s address. Talking to Dunya News Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique declared Khan s speech as a pack of lies and disappointing. He added that Khan s sole purpose was to gain power.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid stated that the PTI chairman s lies have always been exposed in front of PM s honesty. He added that the government s brave and daring decisions had made Khan a ‘mental patient’.
The Panama Leaks issue still remains a bone of contention between the government and the Opposition. Khan, in his address at PTI’s 20th Foundation Day ceremony, stated that the PM will have to go as he has no moral authority to rule the country any longer. He further stated that he is hopeful that the PM will make a decision regarding the Panama Leaks investigation prior to the party initiation of a protest march at Raiwind.
