Trump takes to twitter on Women's March

Dunya News

President Trump's first tweet was an effort to mock and undermine these demonstrations

WEB DESK (Dunya News) - US President Donald Trump takes to Twitter to react to massive protests that took place in Washington and around the world against his presidency.

According to an estimate, the demonstrations held in more than 500 US cities were attended by at least 3.3 million people and which make them as one of the largest political protest demonstrations in US history.

President Trump didn’t explain his point of view on the protests on Saturday however; he posted two tweets on Sunday from his personal account while questioning as to whether these protestors had voted or not.

“Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn t these people vote?” Trump asked on Twitter.

“Celebs hurt cause badly,” he asserted.

President Trump’s tweet was an effort to mock and undermine these demonstrations.

However, after two hours the US President sent a conciliatory tweet while professing that peacefull protests are a hallmark of US democracy.

“Even if I don t always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views,” Trump said.
