Pakistani-Americans gear up to celebrate Pakistan Day
Programmes related to Pakistan Day will be held in different US cities.
NEW YORK (Dunya News) - Pakistani-Americans are gearing up to celebrate Pakistan Day on March 23 as preparations are in full swing.
Programmes related to Pakistan Day will be held in different US cities.
Pakistani embassy in US, UN mission and consulates will arrange various programmes related to the day.
While talking to Dunya News, Consul General of Pakistan in New York Raja Ali Ejaz said that these programmes are a way to express the love of Pakistani-Americans with their country and also to build a bond of new generation with Pakistan.
Different community leaders have appealed the US-based Pakistanis to participate in the programmes.
“Every year in March, people of Pakistani tri-state area particularly New Orleans states which are included in our consulate’s jurisdiction prepare for this day with enthusiasm. This year two programmes will be held in the consulate in the evening on March 23 and 24. One for the diplomatic and other for the Pakistani community,” said Raja Ali Ejaz.

“Pakistan Day will be celebrated at 20 different places. On March 25, Pakistani American Youth Organization will conduct the biggest programme and every Pakistani is welcome there,” said the organization’s head.
