Bilawal raised new slogan 'Rise Punjab Rise Your High Turban Stained by Sharifs' in Lahore

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has on Monday said that the friendship between Pakistani and Indian premiers is damaging Pakistan’s interests. He improvised on the notorious 1988 election slogan in Punjab, changing it to ‘Jaag Punjabi Jaag, Teri Pagg Ko Lag Gaya Sharifon Ka Daagh’ (lit.: Rise Punjab Rise – Your High Turban Stained by Sharifs), reported Dunya News.

Predicting the end of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s rule in Pakistan, Bilawal said that he’d once again make Asif Ali Zardari the president of the country. Addressing the PPP’s anniversary ceremonies, Bilawal said that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan wanted to become PM while Nawaz wanted to become Amir ul-Momineen (lit.: King of the Righteous).

Bilawal criticised Foreign Advisor Sartaj Aziz for adopting a soft tone in Heart of Asia Conference. He said that Modi used abusive language against Pakistan. “Had there been a foreign minister in Pakistan, Modi and Ashraf Ghani would have been given a befitting response”, he said.

PPP chairman claimed that Asif Zardari will be Pakistan’s next president while Karachi’s mayor will also be a PPP worker.
