Senior PPP leader Jahangir Badar laid to rest in Lahore
Funeral prayers of Jahangir Badar were offered at Law College's ground of University of the Punjab
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Senior politician and renowned leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, Jahangir Badar was laid to rest in Miyani Sahib Graveyard, Lahore.
Earlier, the funeral prayers of senior PPP leader were offered at Law College’s ground of University of the Punjab.
Politicians, social activists, teachers, students, religious leaders and people from other walks of life offered the funeral prayers of Jahangir Badar. He was was brought to the hospital two days ago owing to kidney and cardiac complications, however, could not regain his health.
Jahangar Badar, 72, was considered to one of the staunch loyalist of Pakistan Peoples Party as his political affiliation with the party remained till his death as it started four decades ago.
He was one of the closest companions of former PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto. Jahangir Badar was also former senator and remained Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources, Housing & works And Science & Technology.
Badar became a member National Assembly from Lahore in 1988.
