Corps Commander Lahore meets Punjab CM, discuss action against terrorists
Both officials agreed to continue joint action of army, Rangers, police and CTD against terrorists.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali Tuesday met with Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif at CM House in Lahore. During the meeting, both officials agreed to continue joint action of the army, Rangers, police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) against terrorists and their facilitators.
According to the details, an overall situation regarding the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) was discussed during the meeting.
A decision was made during the meeting to further improve both the integrated security mechanism and the already working civil, military joint operations coordination centres.
The need for effective action against terrorists, pertaining to the deadly Gulshan-e-Iqbal blast, was also stressed during the meeting.
The developments made in operation being conducted in the Province were also analyzed during the meeting.
