AIG Karachi says that retired army personnel will inducted into the police force
Karachi (Dunya News) – Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo said that an operation against terrorists will begin in sensitive areas of Karachi and 900 retired army personnel will be inducted into the police force, adding that CCTVs will be installed at police stations in sensitive areas.
AIG Karachi explained that the Police and law enforcement agencies will work in collaboration to eliminate terrorism and the operation will start in sensitive areas, adding that more retired army personnel were being inducted into the force for reinforcing the Sindh police.
Qadir further said that the notification for the recruitment of these retired army officers will be issued within 48 hours, adding that in order to curb terrorist activities, police stations will be installed with CCTVs for the purpose of surveillance.
Ghulam Qadir said in a statement that in order to improve the law and order situation police officers holidays will be cancelled, adding that in an attempt to increase the accountability of the police, complaints against policemen can now also be registered at the ‘15’ police helpline.
