Election 2013: Candidates of political parties at a glance
Almost all major political parties have fielded their candidates for the elections 2013.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – According to details, for the general seats of the National Assembly, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has fielded 238 candidates, Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) 222, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) 221, National Awami Party (ANP) 61,
Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) 211, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) 167, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) 53 and there are 124 candidates of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) in the run for NA elections.
For 294 general seats of Punjab Assembly, PTI has fielded 290 candidats, PPPP 225 candidates, PML-N 291, PML-Q 73, JI 210, ANP 9, MQM 233 and JUI-F has fielded 101 candidates.
For 129 general seats of Sindh Assembly, PPPP has fielded 118 candidates, PML-N 41, MQM 125, ANP 26, JI 52, PML-Q 27 and JUI is contesting on 34 seats.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PPPP has fielded 82 candidates for 99 general seats, PML-N 25, ANP 79, PML-Q 28, PTI 98, JUI-F 87, JI 86 and MQM has fielded 45 candidates.
For 50 general seats of Balochistan Assembly, PPPP has fielded 33 candidates, PML-N 41, PML-Q 19, PTI 22, JI 20, JUI-F 47 and MQM is contesting on 14 seats.
