Bollywood daredevils who perform their own stunts

Web Desk – Bollywood has its fair share of exhilarating stunts and action-packed fight sequences. That is where body or stunt doubles come in, for even film heroes show apprehension when it comes to dangerous stunts. Yet, there are some who dare perform their own stunts and have no need for a stunt double.

Here are five Bollywood daredevils who prefer to do their own stunts.

John Abraham:



Starting as a model, the Bollywood hunk is as famous for his muscular body as he is for his acting. Making his debut with Jism, John Abraham’s is famous for his role as the leader of a motorbike gang in the energy-fueled Dhoom. Known for his macho attitude on-screen, John likes to do his own stunts. According to reports in Indian media, John injured his knee while performing a stunt during the shooting of Force 2, and underwent several surgeries.

Tiger Shroff:



Apart from being immensely talented, Tiger Shroff is one of the most physically fit actors in B-town. The actor made his debut quite recently in 2014 with the movie Heropanti. The actor is trained in martial arts, and has performed stunts in all his movies; Heropanti, Baaghi, A Flying Jatt.

Akshay Kumar:



With a nickname that befits his daredevil personality, ‘Khiladi Kumar’ is known to refuse the help of a body double and performs all his dangerous stunts himself. Trained in martial arts, the actor’s bold actions have earned him the nickname of ‘India’s Jackie Chan’.

Hrithik Roshan:



Another one of those B-town hunks with a chiseled body, Hrithik Roshan has performed many audacious stunts during his film career. Krrish, Jodhaa Akbar and Dhoom 2 are some of the films in which the actor has performed his risky stunts. The actor reportedly received severe injuries during the filming of action sequences in Bang Bang and Mohen Jo Daro, due to which he had to stay away from his work for some time.

Ajay Devgn:



Born to stunt and action choreographer Veeru Devgn, it is no wonder that Ajay devgn is such a daredevil himself. The actor showed that he had the genes for performing stunts in his debut film, Phool aur Kaante, and proved his mettle when he performed a split while balancing himself on two bikes. The actor then went on to perform many dangerous stunts over the course of his career spanning more than 25 years.
